An app to track shows with your partner or roommate
You watch the same show, but not always at the same time. Cena shows which episode each of you is on, tells you when one of you watches ahead, and helps you pick what to watch tonight.
How it works
- Link accounts: send a request to whoever you watch with. It only starts if you both accept, and either of you can stop at any time.
- One track for both: for every show you share, one bar shows where each of you is.
- A heads-up when someone watches ahead: "Ana watched S2 ยท E5 without you ๐", so nobody finds out by accident.
- What should we watch tonight?: it suggests what fits your time, starting where whoever is behind is.
- Ideas for the two of you: suggest shows to each other and mark the episodes you watched together in one tap.
Good for
- Couples: the classic "you watched it without me?" argument, settled by a bar.
- Roommates and friends: keep up with the show you both follow, without messaging each other every episode.
- Long-distance couples and families: you each watch at your own time, and still see where the other is. Cena doesn't play the show or sync playback.
Keep spoilers out
Comments, titles and stills of episodes you haven't watched are blurred until you tap, so the show stays a surprise even while you follow everyone else's progress.
What Cena doesn't do yet
- Watching in sync: it tracks where each of you is. It doesn't stream or sync video.
- iPhone: it's Android only for now. Get notified when it's out.
- Custom lists and rewatch logging: not there yet.
