How to import your TV Time history
TV Time shut down on July 15, 2026, but your history doesn't have to go with it. If you saved your data export, you can bring everything into Cena in a few minutes, and every show picks up at the episode where you stopped.
From TV Time
- Find your export. It's a file called
tv-time-personal-data.zip. Check your phone's or computer's Downloads, or the email TV Time sent you. - Extract the zip. On Android, open the Files app, tap the zip and choose Extract. On a computer, right-click → Extract all, then copy the files to your phone.
- Install Cena and create your account. Get it on Google Play.
- Import your shows. In Cena, go to Profile → Settings → Import watch history → Choose a file and pick
tracking-prod-records-v2.csv. Review the list and tap Import. - Import your movies (and some older episodes). Repeat with
tracking-prod-records.csv.
seen_episode.csv. Cena reads that file too. From Trakt
- On trakt.tv, request your data export from your account settings.
- In Cena, under Profile → Settings → Import watch history, pick the watched-history JSON file or a CSV exported from Trakt.
- Trakt keeps each title's ID, so shows and movies come in with no name mix-ups.
From a spreadsheet
Any CSV with title, season and episode columns works (one row per watched episode). You can also add rating and tmdb_id.
Didn't save your TV Time export?
Unfortunately TV Time's export tool went offline with the app, and the data was deleted after the shutdown. Cena makes rebuilding quick: on first launch you pick the shows you watch, and on each show you mark "everything up to here" at the episode you were on. A long press marks a whole season.
And if you ever want to leave Cena?
Settings → Export your data gives you everything in a file, any time, for free. That's the lesson TV Time taught us: your data is yours.
